Nudge aside the cocktail umbrella, take a sip of the long cool drink then dive into a beautiful pool. A surprising, delightful aspect of a Sidari summer holiday is the amount of idyllic public pools. It’s not as if there’s a lack of beaches. There is in fact three; one long sweeping bay, another near the old fishing harbour and to the west is the famous Canal D’amour, a remarkable cliff and rock formation created by wind erosion. The beaches are all clean and sandy and if it’s the family break you’re considering, a summer holiday to Sidari is perfect for all ages.
This is one of Corfu’s largest and busiest resorts and as well as the water sports available on the beach there are plenty of tourist activities to enjoy on a Sidari summer holiday. The children can be entertained at a small horse riding centre, a bouncy castle and there are several arcades in the village. For grown ups on a Sidari summer holiday there are plenty of watering holes and nightspots including live sports bars and there’s enough shops for browsing or buying. There’s not a lot that is traditional Corfu about a summer holiday to Sidari other than a quaint church and park so you’ll need to take excursions from the resort for some Greek culture.
