The incongruous nature of Malia is exemplified by the presence of both a McDonalds and a Minoan Temple which is the third largest example in Crete. It’s a short walk down the coast road and once there you can walk through remains that lie exactly as hey were uncovered by archaeologists. It’s large impressive site and if you have interest enough pack a picnic, spend the day then have a swim on the way back. If that’s all too cerebral there’s always the water slides, crazy golf or Kartland. Whatever your choice of pursuit, a summer holiday to Malia aims to provide it.
