There are three magnificent beaches, the west one is 2kms long, the east one runs 600m and the main town beach is 800m long. Unlike other Greek resorts the beaches for a Finikounda summer holiday are not obscured by multitudinous rows of municipal sun loungers and umbrellas. They are uncrowded, delightful stretches of soft sands and calm waters perfect for family days of doing pretty much nothing. If you feel like you must attempt to do something on a Finikounda summer holiday other than worship the sun try a spot of wind surfing on the east beach. Really though, this is a major chill out spot and the most exertion a Finikounda summer holidaymaker should have is either adjusting the position of your towel in the sand or deciding which seafront eatery you are going to patronise for lunch.
