For lovers of varying landscapes with spectacular geographical features a summer holiday to Sami is a delight. The underground Melissani lake with it marvellous stalactites viewed by rowing boat and the prehistoric Drogarati caves are in close proximity to the resort and the coastline is a string of beaches of all sizes. Taking a summer holiday to Sami is also a great way to see Kefalonia from its busy port which also runs ferries to Corfu, Ithaki and Patras.

The port and resort area are busy but there are plenty of opportunities to escape on a Sami summer holiday. You can either take a pleasant stroll to Antisamos beach or take a hike or bike ride to find a secluded cove or inlet. The whole immediate area is packed with things to do; ruins from Sami’s history abound, the water front is lined with restaurants and bars galore and you can even go dolphin spotting from Dichalia Lighthouse. It will be hard to pin down what was the highlight of your Sami summer holiday.
