The gorgeous scenery provides much of the daytime entertainment for a summer holiday to Prazeres whether it’s enjoying the mountains and valleys of the interior or the amazing ruggedness of the coastline. The fascinating levadas, the old irrigation terraces, make for some stunning trails so it’s no surprise that a Prazeres summer holiday is a big favourite with walkers. But, it isn’t all just scenery. A Prazeres summer holiday is also about enjoying the village itself. The traditional central square is a great place to watch the life of the village and you can visit the little churches and chapels and you can also take the kids along to the small petting zoo. There are some excellent restaurants serving a mix of local dishes which invariably contain seafood and international staples such as pizza. On the surface a summer holiday to Prazeres doesn’t seem much but scratch the surface and find a little treasure.
