The big advantage is obviously the beaches. Also for the kids, there’s a zoo and bird sanctuary and a small funfair and adults and children alike can be awed by the stunning limestone formations in the Drach’s Caves.

Being purpose built much of the evening entertainment is found in the hotels but there’s also a good selection of restaurants and bars. A Calas De Mallorca summer holiday isn’t for those looking for riotous night life. It does however provide some good shopping and the centre of Majorca’s pearl industry is found at nearby Manacor whilst many a tourist on a summer holiday to Calas De Mallorca is found haggling at the Sunday market in Felanitx.
