Don’t be fooled into thinking a summer holiday to Skiathos Town is just a stopping off point for better places. Being fully and enjoyably occupied is no problem here. There are two harbours; one that serves as a port for blindingly white cruise liners and as a marina for millionaire yachts and the other that is still worked by chattering and flamboyant Greek fishermen. Both are well blessed with waterfront eateries and bars and nightspots and one of the best features of a Skiathos Town summer holiday is the great nightlife.

Beaches are also aplenty for whiling away the hours of a Skiathos Town summer holiday not doing much but sunning and bathing, enjoying the view and maybe trying out a water sport or two. Immediate beaches next to the town are Megali Ammos and Vasilias and both more than live up to the standards you’d expect when you take a summer holiday to Skiathos Town.
